Sustainability is at the heart of CPL Aromas’ business model. The company is therefore delighted that the Group has been awarded a Gold rating by Ecovadis.
EcoVadis is the international sustainability benchmarking tool operating across 150 countries.
CPL Aromas globally has ranked in the top 4% of companies participating in the 2019 EcoVadis Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) assessment.
Emily Heron, Head of Sustainability for CPL Aromas, said: “Ecovadis is globally recognised as one of the leading solutions for monitoring sustainability in global supply chains. They assess performance and provide feedback on how to improve sustainable practices. This Gold rating serves to underline that our commitment to sustainability is recognised and is working. I believe it highlights the real progress we have made”.
CPL’s sustainability performance was evaluated according to 21 criteria across four categories:
- Labour and human rights;
- Sustainable procurement practices.
CPL’s sustainability policies, initiatives and results were analysed according to international CSR standards including ISO 26000 (Social Responsibility), the Global Reporting Initiative, ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) and the United Nations Global Compact.
